SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS

1 egg
1/2 cup water
1 cups finely chopped water chestnuts
1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
2 tbsp prepared horseradish
1 lb ground beef

Sauce:
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup cider vinegar and soy sauce
1 small onion, finely chopped

In a large bowl, combine first 5 ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into 1 inch balls. Place on a greased baking sheets and bake, uncovered, at 350 for 25 minutes or until meat is no longer pink.

Meanwhile, combine first 5 sauce ingredients until smooth; add onion. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Drain meatballs; top with sauce. Makes about 25 meatballs.
