1 cup flour and packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350. Stir together ingredients, blending well. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 13-15 minutes. Cool on baking sheet 1 minute; remove cookies to wire racks to cool completely.

Variation: Good with 1 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips added to dough.
