2 cups strawberries, washed, hulled and drained
1/4 cup confectioners sugar
1 cup heavy cream
1 pint vanilla ice cream
2 tbsp cognac

Place strawberries in a bowl and sprinkle with confectioners sugar. Cover and refrigerate. In a chilled howl, with chilled beaters, beat cream until peaks form. Refrigerate. In a large bowl, beat ice cream until fluffy; fold in the whipped cream and cognac. Just prior to serving, pour ice cream mixture over berries and mix lightly. Serves 4-6
