2 lbs ground pork
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 tsp ginger
1/2 cup water
1 (13 1/4 oz) can pineapple chunks in syrup, undrained
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
2 medium-size green peppers, cut into strips
1 (8 oz) can water chestnuts, sliced
2 tbsp chopped green onion
Chow mein noodles

Lightly brown pork in a large skillet; pour off drippings. Sprinkle salt over met. Combine cornstarch and ginger; blend in water and add to meat. Drain pineapple, reserve syrup. Stir syrup, soy sauce and garlic into meat mixture; cover and cook slowly for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Stir in peppers, water chestnuts, pineapple and onion, cook covered, for 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Serve with noodles. Serves 6-8
