BEAN DIP

16 oz can EACH chili AND pinto beans, drained reserving liquid in needed
2 tbsp oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
2/3 cup red bell pepper
2 1/2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp sugar
1/8 tsp EACH garlic powder and ground red pepper

Combine beans and mash. Set aside. Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Saute onion and red pepper 2 minutes. Add remaining ingredients to skillet. Cook until heated through. Serve warm with chips.

(Use reserved liquid in mixture if it starts to get to thick.)
