1/2 cup butter, softened
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 boxes (16 oz.) confectioners sugar
1 tsp salt and vanilla extract (or substitute extract such as lemon, almond or orange)
3 cups chopped walnuts
2 pkg (12 oz.) semisweet chocolate morsels
4 oz. Paramount Crystals or shredded baking wax

In a large bowl combine butter and milk until smooth. Stir in sugar, salt, vanilla, then walnuts. Roll into one-inch-balls. Place candy on waxed paper. Chill until firm.

In a medium pan, melt chocolate and Crystals for 4-5 min. over low heat. Dip balls into chocolate, coating evenly. Return to waxed paper. Store in refrigerator.
