SHRIMP DIP

Category: Dips - Hot

1/4 cup onions, finely minced
1 tbsp butter
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1 (8 oz) carton sour cream
1 (4 1/2 oz) can deveined shrimp, drained
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp white pepper and garlic salt
Dash hot sauce or cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp chili powder, Worcestershire sauce and garlic salt
Paprika, to add pink color

Saute onion in butter. Stir in cream cheese and sour cream. Add shrimp, mashing into bits with a spatula. Add lemon juice and seasonings. Serve warm from small chafing dish, accompanied by potato chips or corn chips.

NOTES: Can be baked in a casserole dish at 350 until bubbling. Can substitute crabmeat for the shrimp.
