4 golden delicious apples
5 tbsp butter
2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
3 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup flour

Preheat oven to 475. Peel, core and thinly slice apples and arrange them in a greased pie pan, overlapping, two layers thick.

In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs. Add the milk and vanilla, beating well. Mix in the flour and spoon the batter over the apples and bake for 10 minutes. Lower the oven temperature to 350 and continue baking for an additional 30 minutes. Cool on a rack at least 10 minutes before serving.
