2 tbsp shortening
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 lb ground beef
2 (10 1/2 oz) cans pizza sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 1/2 tsp fennel seed
1 1/2 tsp leaf oregano
1/4 tsp garlic powder
2 1/2 cups (10 oz) shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup (4 oz) shredded Mozzarella cheese Italian, French bread, or English muffins

Heat shortening in a 2 quart Fondue pot or heavy saucepan over high heat. Brown onion and ground beef.

In a mixing bowl, blend pizza sauce with cornstarch and seasonings. Add to Fondue pot; stir well until mixture thickens and bubbles. Add cheese by handfuls, stirring well after each addition until smooth.

Serve with Italian or French bread cut in pieces, or over toasted English muffins. Serves 4-6
