Can be used for cucumbers, onions, garlic, mushrooms, jalapeno/sweet bell peppers, cauliflower, broccoli or just about anything.

Heat a 50-50 mixture of white vinegar and water to a boil; simmer. Fill either pint or quart jars with choice of vegetables but leave space at top of jar.

To each jar, add:
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp vegetable oil
4 tbsp brown sugar

Add bine to jars leaving 1/2 inch head space. Put on rings and lids. Water bath jars for 15 minutes to seal.
