Serves/Makes: 1.5 lb loaf
Ready in: 2-5 hrs

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cups bread flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/3 cup dry milk powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

Combine all the ingredients in the bread machine pan in the order recommended by the machine manufacturer.

Set the machine to use the whole wheat setting with a medium crust.

When the bake cycle is finished, remove the bread from the pan and let cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.

Store the bread in an airtight container for 3-5 days.
