Blueberries, fresh or frozen
1 tbsp brown sugar
¾ oz lemon juice, fresh squeezed
2 oz rum
Ginger ale
1. Cover the bottom of a glass or Mason jar with blueberries. (If using a small glass, make a double layer).
2. Add the brown sugar and lemon juice and muddle (or mush with the back of spoon) until the sugar is melted. ***The idea is to break the skin of the berries, but not to smash them into pulp.
3. Fill glass with crushed ice and then add the rum. Top with ginger ale and stir.
