Prep Time: Cook Time: Total Time:
5 small bottles (375 ml) of Bacardi light rum
2 large bags of skittles
5 empty water bottles
Funnel (used to pour rum back in bottles)
Coffee filters or paper towels
5 bowls (to separate skittles in)
1. Separate skittles by color. You will need approx 120 skittles for 375 ml of rum.
2. Place each color skittles into separate empty water bottles.
3. Fill the water bottles with rum. Remember to use a water bottle with enough room so that you can shake the bottles well.
4. Cap the bottles. Shake each bottle vigorously for about 30 seconds.
5. Shake the bottles periodically over a 16 to 20 hour period. The actual candy pieces should be dissolved.
6. Once the candy is dissolved you’ll need to filter the rum into the bottles (using a funnel). Use the original rum bottles or decorative bottles if you have them. You may need to filter the rum (paper towel works better than coffee filter) more than once to remove all the candy particles that are in the rum.
7. Put the rum in the freezer until you are ready to drink.
****rum skittle is great mixed with 7 Up or Sprite****
