- 1 package (6.2 ounce size) fried rice mix
- 1 can (8 ounce size) sliced water chestnuts, drained
- 1/3 cup frozen peas
- 1/3 cup sliced green onions
- 2 cups chopped cooked pork, chicken, or shrimp
- 3/4 cup coarsely shredded carrot
- chow mein noodles (optional)
Prepare the rice in a large skillet as directed on the package. Add the water chestnuts, peas, and green onions. Let cook, covered, for 5-7 minutes. Stir in the cooked pork and shredded carrot. Cook until heated through. Stir in the chow mein noodles, if using, and serve immediately.
