Category: Appetizers and Dips
Prep Time:       Cook Time:       Total Time:

10 oz sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
1 lb bulk hot sausage
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 cups Bisquick

measure the Bisquick into a large bowl.

Pour the shredded cheese in the Bisquick a little at a time and stir to keep the cheese from clumping together.

add the sausage. Use a good brand of sausage so the balls will not be greasy. If you do not like spicy, use regular sausage.

Mix it all together with your hands.
It takes a while to get the mixture mixed evenly.

Cover a sheet, that has sides, with foil.
Roll into small balls about the size of walnuts and place them on the pan with a little room.

They wll spread out some with cooking.

Bake the sausage balls at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes. The sausage balls should be lightly browned. Some may be uneven in color.

Remove the pans from the oven and let them sit and cool.

Once the sausage balls are cool, put them in airtight containers and store them in the refrigerator.

Sausage balls can be served cold or reheated in oven.
