You must have all indgredients measured before starting because there is not enough time to measure after you start.

1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup water
1 cup peanuts
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions

Blend the sugar, water, syrup, and salt.
Boil to a hard ball stage. 250-266 degrees
Add the butter and peanuts
Cook mixture to hard crack stage. 300-310 degrees on candy themometor.
Stir in vanilla and baking soda. (The mixture will foam)
VERY quickly, pour onto a 11x17 greased cookie sheet. Tip sheet so it will be even on sheet or take two forks and pull it.

Let cool and break into pieces.
