Potstickers

Category: Appetizers and Dips

1/2 pound chicken, finely chopped or ground
1 cup finely minced cabbage or napa cabbage
2 tablespoon chopped green onion
2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons oil
water

24 wonton wrappers (3 1/2 rounds)

Place 1 teaspoon in wonton.

Moisten one side with water and fold over amd seal.

Place on a cookie sheet and dust with cornstarch.

Melt 1 1/2 tablespoon oil in large skillet.
Add the potsticks in a single layer and brown on both side.
Add 1/3 cup water,cover and steam until water is gone.
Repeat with remaining potstickers.

(you can put uncooked potstickers on a sheet and freeze in a single layer and when frozen put in zip lock for later cooking)

For beef filling

1 pound ground beef
1 cup minced cabbage
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 cup minced green onion
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 teaspoons sesame oil


Sauce for dipping

1 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 tablesoon chopped green onions
