24 ounces Ground Beef (85% lean).
1/2 cup Panko bread crumbs.
1 medium Shallot, chopped fine.
1 large clove of Garlic, crushed.
1/4 cup of fresh Chives, chopped fine.
1 Habanero Chili (optional) including seeds, chopped fine. You can substitute for any chili depending upon taste.
1 Egg.
1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard (Wholegrain prefered).
1 tablespoon Soy Sauce (low sodium).
1 tablespoon Worcesteshire Sauce.
Salt & Pepper to taste.
Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix in well using you hands.
Form into 4 large patties for a big appetite burger, or 6 patties for the smaller appetite.
Grill to desired doneness preferably over charcoal for that added smokey flavor.
Build up your burger with all your favorite condements. My personal choices are for an Onion bun (lightly toasted), fresh Garden Salad, Horseradish cheese (for an added kick), Tomato sauce & Olive oil mayonaise.
Sit back and enjoy!!
