Creamed Sweet Potatoes

6 to 8 sweet potatoes
1 stick butter
1 cup cream or whole milk
Salt to taste

Peel and cube the sweet potatoes. Put in a large pot and cover with water. Salt very lightly. Boil until fork tender all the way through. Drain. Mash. Add about a stick of butter for every 6 - 8 tubers, and a cup of cream or whole milk. Mash again. Add more salt if needed. Serve warm.

Note: If you prefer a sweet version, simply add a little cinnamon and brown sugar to the mix.
