Aunt Judy’s Mexican Rice

1 lb ground meat
1 chopped onion
1 chopped bell pepper
1 cup uncooked rice
1 can tomato sauce
2 Tbsp chili powder
1 tsp prepared mustard
1 can water (the tomato sauce can!)

In an 8-inch skillet, brown the meat, onion, and bell pepper. Drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients and brown for a moment or two, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, adding water as needed to prevent it drying.
