Parmesan Dumplings

3 c. milk
4 Tbsp butter
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c. semolina
2 c. parmesan cheese, grated
2 eggs
1/2 c. butter, melted

Combine the first 2 ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Slowly add the semolina to the saucepan, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and cook until thick. Remove from heat and add 1 cup of parmesan and the eggs. Mix well. Pour the mixture onto a large plate and let cool. After it has cooled and become hardened, cut into small squares. Grease the bottom of a baking sheet with some of butter. Put a layer of squares on the sheet, pour some melted butter over them and sprinkle with parmesan. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used up. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes.
