1 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp salt
3/4 c. cocoa
1 1/3 c. brown sugar
1 c. milk
4 c. cake flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream shortening and sifted brown sugar together. Add eggs & beat well. Add milk and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients. Mix alternately milk mixture with dry mixture. Add nuts. Drop by teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 13-15 minutes. Makes 120 cookies.
