Category: Cocktails
Prep Time:       Cook Time:       Total Time:

Serves/Makes: 4 Drinks
Difficulty: 1
Prep Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

12 ounces fresh watermelon
1/4 cup orange juice concentrate - frozen
1/4 cup triple sec
1 ounce grenadine
3/4 cup watermelon vodka
7 drops red food coloring
For Garnish
4 slices orange
4 marachino cherries
Optional - 1 Diamond Ring

Directions:

Rough chop fresh watermelon and put in blender. Add orange juice concentrate, triple sec, grenadine and watermelon vodka. Puree until smooth. Add red coloring.

To serve, fill cocktail shaker with ice and 1/2 of the cocktail. Shake not less than 30 seconds until very cold.

Fill two martini glasses and float orange slice gently on top. Place marachino cherry in middle of orange slice.

Cooks Notes: Ok, lets be honest! Most of us girls would love to see some bling on Valentines Day. When I put this drink together and was thinking of the garnish, I set the glass down and put the orange slice flat instead of on the rim and thought it still needed something. Then the romantic in me thought I would love to be handed this drink with something sparkly in it. So I put a marachinno cherry in the middle and propped my ring against it. It made me smile so I had my husband snap a picture of it. Feel free to show this to your sweetie and maybe he'll get the idea. My husband thought it looked great but said the pan I had wanted a couple months ago wouldn't fit in the martini glass. Ha Ha I said. Well can't blame a girl for trying. Enjoy!
