  • 1 can (28 ounce size) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion, sliced thin
  • 1 green bell pepper, seeded and cut into strips
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 pound smoked kielbasa or other Polish-type sausage

Combine the tomatoes, onion, green pepper, garlic, and Italian seasoning in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until the onions and peppers are soft.

Slice the smoked sausage into 1/2-inch slices and add to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sausage is heated through.

Serve immediately.
