Burgundy Marinade For Beef Steaks

- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup Burgundy or dry red wine
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons molasses
Combine all the ingredients in a zip-top plastic bag. Mix well to dissolve the molasses. Add the steaks, seal the bag, and place in the refrigerator for anywhere from 30 minutes to 8 hours to marinade. Drain and discard the marinade before cooking.
