Homemade Chocolate Icing

3/4 cup of Hersey cocoa
1 stick of unsalted butter
½ cup of sugar
½ teaspoon salt (optional)
1 tsp vanilla
1 8oz can evaporated carnation milk
1 wooden spoon

On stove use medium to high heat.
Using a 3 to 4 quart sauce pan, and wooden spoon cream butter and sugar.
Next add Hersey Cocoa slowly until all has been incorporated.
Next add evaporated milk slowly until all has been incorporated.
Add salt (optional)
Bring mixture to a boil
Boil mixture until a thickened consistency
Lastly stir in vanilla
Remove saucepan from heat, let icing stand until cooled
Apply to cake of choice, (preferable yellow cake.)
