Dessert Brandy Sauce

1 cup sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. butter
1 cup boiling water
1/4 cup brandy

Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt. Add butter and boiling water. Mix well and cook together 6 minutes or until clear. Add brandy after you remove saucepan from heat.

Serve warm over cake or pudding.
Yields 8 to 10 servings.
