Mushroom, Hot Cheese and Chorizo Dip

12 ounces Mexican asadero or Monterey Jack cheese, cut into chunks
6 ounces mushrooms, sliced
1 cup chorizo, cooked, well drained
2 green onions, chopped or 1/4 cup finely chopped white onion
tortilla chips for serving

Combine all ingredients in 2 quart microwave-proof bowl. Microwave at 70 percent power, 3 minutes. Remove and stir well.

Microwave at 70 percent power, 2 minutes, stir. If cheese has not melted completely, heat at 1 minute intervals, stirring after each minute.

Serve hot with tortilla chips.
Yields 3 1/2 cups.
