Yield:32

1 pkg (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast
1/4 c warm water (110-115F)
1-3/4 c warm milk (110-115F)
1/4 c butter, soft
1/4 c veg oil
6 T sugar
1 egg
1/2 c warm leftover mash
1-1/2 t salt
1 t baking powder
1/2 t baking soda
6 c flour
melted butter, optional

Dissolve yeast in water. Add milk, butter, oil, sugar, egg and mashed potatoes; mix well.
Stir in salt, baking powder, baking soda and enough flour to form a soft dough.
Turn onto a floured surface; knead until elastic 6-8 min.
Place in a greased bowl, turn 1x to grease top.
Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled 1-1/2 hrs.
Punch dough down.
Turn onto a lightly floured surface; divide in half. Cover one piece.
Shape the other piece into 16 balls.
Place 2" apart on greased baking sheets.
Cover and let rise until doubled 30 min.
Bake 375F 15-18 min.
