Serves/Makes: 6
Ready in: < 30 minutes
- 1 3/4 cup sifted flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 3 eggs
- 7 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 cup milk
Sift the sifted flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar together into a bowl. In another bowl, beat the eggs, oil, and milk until uniform in color. Add the egg mixture to the flour mixture and stir until just moistened. Heat and grease the waffle iron as directed by manufacturer. Add about 1/4 cup of the batter to the waffle iron (or amount needed depending on the size of the waffle grids). Cook until browned. Remove the waffle and keep warm while you cook the remaining batter. Serve the waffles warm with your favorite toppings. The cooked waffles can also be frozen and then reheated in a toaster.
