3 oranges, generously studded with whole cloves
1/2 quart light rum, heated
3/4 cup sugar
1 quart cider, heated but not boiled

Bake oranges in 350 F oven until juice begins to flow. Put oranges in large punch bowl. Add rum and sugar. Pour in cider. Keep warm and serve with a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg.
