1 (12 inch) pizza crust

1 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
2/3 cup warm water (105 F to 115 F)
1 3/4 to 2 cup all purpose flour
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 1/2 tsp each salt and sugar

Dissolve yeast in warm water in a large mixing bowl; let stand 5 minutes or until bubbly. Add 1 cup of the flour, oil, salt and sugar; mix well. Gradually beat in remaining flour until soft, but not sticky, dough is formed. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface; knead until dough is smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
Transfer dough to a oiled bowl; turn to coat dough with oil. Cover with plastic wrap; let stand in a warm place until doubled in volume, about 1 hour, Punch dough down, transfer to a lightly floured surface and let rest 5 minutes. Roll out dough to form a 12-inch crust. Transfer to a large baking sheet that has been lightly dusted with cornmeal. Add topping and bake as directed in recipe.
