Serves 6

1 (3-3 1/2 lb) chicken, cut up
2 Tbsp oil
1 onion, chopped
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 cup ketchup
2 Tbsp vinegar
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 cup water
3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp mustard
salt and red pepper, to taste

Brown chicken in hot oil in skillet. Remove to 9x13-inch baking dish. Saute onion in drippings. Stir in remaining ingredients. Simmer for 30 minutes. Pour over chicken. Bake at 325 F for 1 hour.
