1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter unsalted softened
2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup rum (yum) or 3 TBS water plus 2 tsp rum extract

In a 2 quart saucepan, mix all ingredients. Heat to boiling over high heat, stiring constantly. boil 3 to 4 min, stiring constantly until slightly thickened. Serve warm. Store covered in refrigerator up to 1 week. Sauce may separate during storage, stir befor serving.
