6 quarts of popped popcorn
1 cup (2 sticks) of butter
2 cups packed brown sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup (light or dark)
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Put popcorn in a large cake pan.

Preheat oven to 250F degrees.

In medium sauce pan melt butter, stir in brown sugar , corn syrup, & salt. Bring to boil stirring constantly, then let boil 5 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat, stir in baking soda & vanilla, then gradually pour over popcorn evenly. Bake at 250F degrees for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes.
