Makes 4 servings.

1 lb. bacon
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1 T. white vinegar
2 T. granulated sugar
salt and pepper
3 c. chopped fresh broccoli
2 stalks celery, chopped
2 green onions, chopped
1/4 c. diced red onion
1 head romaine lettuce, washed
1 c. seedless grapes, halved
1/2 c. blanched slivered almonds, toasted

Place bacon in a large, deep skillet; cook over medium high heat until evenly brown.
Drain, crumble and set aside to cool.
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, vinegar, and sugar, season to taste with salt and pepper.
In a medium bowl, combine broccoli, celery, green onion, red onion, grapes,
Pour dressing over broccoli mixture and toss well to coat.
Refrigerate until chilled; serve over lettuce leaves; garnish with almonds and bacon.
