1 1/4 c. chocolate wafer crumbs
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. butter, melted
Filling
1/2 c. butter
6 1-oz. squares semi-sweet chocolate
3 eggs
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. salt
Topping
1 21-oz. can cherry pie filling
2 1-oz. squares semi-sweet chocolate
1 T. whipping cream
Preheat oven to 350F. Spray a 11-inch fluted tarte pan with cooking spray.
In a small bowl, combine wafer crumbs and sugar; stir in melted butter.
Press into bottom and up side of tarte pan.
Place pan on a baking sheet. Bake at 350F for 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.
Cool on wire rack.
In a microwave safe bowl, melt butter and chocolate; stir until smooth; cool for 10 minutes.
In a large bowl beat eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt until thickened, about 4 minutes.
Blend in chocolate mixture. Add flour; mix well.
Pour into crust; spread evenly.
Bake at 350F for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a cake tester comes out clean.
Coll completely on wire rack.
Spread pie filling over top,
In a small microwave safe bowl, combine chocolate and cream.
Microwave on HIGH for 20 to 30 seconds, or until chocolate has melted; stir until smooth.
Cool for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Drizzle over tarte. Chill until set.
