Makes 8 servings.

5 lb. ham
1 15-oz. can sliced pineapple, drained with juice reserved
1 10-oz. jar maraschino cherries, drained
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/4 c. orange juice
1 T. hot mustard
whole cloves (or 1/4 tsp. ground cloves)**

Preheat oven to 350F.
Trim excess fat off the ham and score in a diamond pattern with a sharp knife, making shallow cuts about 1 inch apart. Place in a roasting pan.
Place pineapple slices on ham with toothpicks and place cherries in center of pineapple.
In a small saucepan combine reserved pineapple juice, brown sugar, orange juice and mustard.
Mix together and simmer for about 5 minutes, until mixture is thick.
Bake uncovered at 350F for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or 15 minutes per pound.
Pour some of this glaze over the ham about every 15 minutes, until all is used.
Let ham rest about 10 minutes before carving.

**If using whole cloves, spike ham with the cloves. If using ground cloves, add to the pineapple juice mixture.
