  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 2 eggs
  • grated Gruyere cheese
  • 1/4 cup hot, heavy cream

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In an individual heatproof ramekin or small baking cup, melt butter. Break eggs into it and cook over low heat for 1 minute. Cover eggs with grated Gruyere cheese and pour hot cream over the top.

Place the ramekin in a pan of hot water and bake until eggs are set and the cheese is melted.
