  • 2 cups potatoes, mashed
  • 1/4 cup nonfat dry milk
  • 2 cups flour, divided
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • garlic powder or onion powder, to taste, opt
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • vegetable oil, for deep frying

Mix together milk, potatoes, 3/4 cup of the flour, and salt and seasonings, if desired. Add boiling water, beating vigorously until well blended.

Use a tablespoon to form potatoes into 2-inch balls. Roll in flour and fry in hot oil. Cook until golden. Drain on paper towels.
