Italian Sausage With Pesto And Pasta

- 1/2 cup basil leaves, packed
- 1/4 cup walnut pieces, toasted & divided, PLUS
- 2 tablespoons walnut pieces, toasted & divided
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 5 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 package (12 ounce size) uncooked linguine
- 1 pound cooked Italian sausage links, sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
Combine basil, 1/4 cup walnuts and garlic in food processor or blender container; process until smooth. Add cheese. With machine running, pour oil through feed tube and process until ingredients are well blended; set aside. Prepare pasta according to package directions. During last 2 minutes of cooking, add sausage and broccoli to pasta; drain. Combine pasta mixture with pesto. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Garnish with remaining walnuts.
