8 slices breakfast bread
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. milk
2 T. butter, divided
1 t. vanilla
1/2 c pecan halves
2 T. sugar
3/4 c. maple syrup
Preheat oven to 200 degrees
Combine eggs, milk and vanilla in shallow bowl
Preheat saute pan on medium high for 3 minutes
Add 1 T. butter and swirl
Dip bread in egg mix and cook 3 minutes on each side until golden. Place in oven to keep warm. Cook remaining slices.
Add 1 T. butter and pecans to pan and cook 3 minutes stirring often until aromatic.
Increase heat to high and add sugar and cook 2 minutes. Remove pan from heat and stir in syrup. Serve over toasted slices
