Ready in: 2-5 hrs

  • 2 tablespoons chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup peeled and sliced carrots
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 6 boneless skinless, chicken breasts, cubed
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 4 cups cooked egg noodles

Combine the celery, carrots, onion, and basil on the crock pot. Place the chicken on top. Season as desired with salt and pepper. Pour the broth around the edges (so you do not wash the seasoning off the chicken).

Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until the chicken is tender. Add the cooked egg noodles. Mix well, let cook for 15 minutes then serve the soup hot.
