Authentic Italian Meatballs

Ready in: 2-5 hrs
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 6 cups pasta sauce (jarred or homemade)
Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix by hand. Let stand for 15 minutes. Bring the pasta sauce to a simmer in a large saucepan or Dutch oven. Roll the meat by hand into golf ball sized meatballs and drop into the simmering sauce. Let simmer over low heat for 3 hours. Serve over pasta.
