1 egg, beaten
3/4 cup soft bread crumbs, about 1 slice
1/3 cup dried tart red cherries or dried cranberries, finely snipped
1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 lb ground beef combined with 1/2 lb cooked smoked ham
2/3 cup red currant jelly
2 tbsp prepared mustard
Green onion slivers

Combine first 7 ingredients; mix well. Shape into 1 inch balls. Place on a jelly-roll pan and bake at 350 for 15-18 minutes or until done. Drain, if necessary.

Meanwhile, heat jelly and mustard in a chafing pan, stirring occasionally until jelly is melted. Add ham balls; stirring gently to coat. Garnish with green onion slivers.
