1 envelope onion soup mix
2 lbs ground beef
1/2 chopped onion and green or red bell pepper
1 1/2 cups fresh bread crumbs
2 eggs
3/4 cup water
2/3 cup barbecue sauce, divided
Preheat oven to 350. In large bowl, combine all ingredients except 1/3 cup barbecue sauce.
In 13×9-inch baking or roasting pan, shape beef mixture into loaf. Top with reserved 1/3 cup barbecue sauce. Bake uncovered, 1 hour or until done. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Serves 6-8
