1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 oz unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup Kahlua
2/3 cup milk
Icing
1/2 cup butter
3 cups confectioners sugar
3 tbsp Kahlua and cream
1 tsp instant coffee
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Glaze
2 oz butter
6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
Brownies: Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour a 13x9 inch baking pan. Beat butter, sugar and vanilla extract. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in chocolate. Sift together dry ingredients and add flour mixture alternately with Kahlua and milk to creamed mixture. Spread into a pan and bake 25-30 minutes.
Icing: Beat butter and sugar. Add Kahlua. Heat cream and add instant coffee, stirring to dissolve. Stir in coffee mixture and vanilla extract. Beat icing well and spread over cooled brownies. Refrigerate 1 hour before drizzling on glaze.
Glaze: Melt butter and chocolate chips, stirring until smooth. Cool slightly and drizzle over icing. Refrigerate until firm before cutting into squares.
