1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 cups applesauce
2 tsp ground allspice
1 tsp Salt and pepper, to taste
4 cups flour
1 cup chopped pecans
3 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground cloves
2 tsp baking soda
Powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350. Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Mix in applesauce and spices.
Sift together dry ingredients and add to liquid mixture and beat well. Stir in nuts and bake in lightly grease muffin pans. Bake 10-12 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Makes 3 dozen
NOTE: Batter will keep in refrigerate up to 2 weeks.
