1 tbsp oil
12 oz top round steak, trimmed and cut into thin strips
1 large onion, sliced
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
1/2 cup beef broth
1 tbsp chili sauce
1/4 tsp pepper
8 oz egg noodles
8 oz fresh green beans, cooked or 1 (10 oz) pkg frozen green beans, thawed
In a skillet, heat oil and add steak, stirring frequently until no long pink, about 4 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer steak to plate. Add onions to juice in skillet. Cook, stirring frequently, until browned, about 3 minutes. Stir in sauce, broth, chili sauce and pepper. Cook for 3 minutes.
While onion is cooking, cook noodles according to package directions, but do not add salt. Return beef to skillet. Add beans; cook until hot and sauce is slightly thickened, about 3 minutes. Drain noodles and place on serving plates. Top with beef mixture and serve.
