  • 1 can (16 ounce size) red chili beans, undrained
  • 1/4 cup finely diced green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely diced onion
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 dash garlic salt
  • 2 cups cooked long grain rice

Combine the beans, bell pepper, and onion in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for 5 minutes or until the bell pepper and onion are tender.

Stir in the chili powder, cumin, and garlic salt. Mix well.

Serve the red beans hot over cooked rice or stir the rice into the bean mixture and serve.
